Protect Against Spills and Stains on Teak Furniture
- Our Teak Water & Stain Guard forms a temporary barrier against moisture on the surface of untreated, unsealed teak.
- Gives temporary protection against rings and stains caused by food and drink when spills are quickly wiped up.
- Any water or spills will bead up on the surface temporarily, allowing for quick clean-up without the risk of stains.
- Recommended for use on tabletops and armrests, or anywhere spills may occur.
- Teak Water & Stain Guard is colorless, and will not add a shine to your teak.
- If our Golden Sealer has already been applied to your teak, use our Clear Coat Gloss to protect against water and food stains instead.
- Teak Water & Stain Guard has an indefinite shelf life, and leftover product can be used for future applications. Store indoors and prevent from freezing.
- It is eco-friendly and will not harm plants, lawns, or animals.
Recommended Use
- One liter will allow for several applications of the product on a mid-sized dining table (4 ft.) and 4 chairs.
- For best results, use our Teak Cleaner to clean your teak before applying the Teak Water and Stain Guard.
- Teak Cleaner removes some of the natural oils on the surface of your teak and allows the stain guard to better adhere to the surface of the teak.
- Apply Teak Water and Stain Guard to newly cleaned teak with the provided cloth or a foam brush (see our Utility Kit for recommended tools.)
- When spills occur, clean promptly while liquid is still on the surface.
- To avoid staining, do not allow spills to sit for hours or overnight; spills can eventually soak through the temporary barrier and stain the wood.
- Test repellency by pouring a small amount of water on the surface; if water beads, treatment is complete.
- For best results, reapply 3-6 times a year, or when water fails to bead on the surface.
