Ordering from Country Casual Teak

 

  1. Can I order offline?
  2. Can I get my order faster?
    • We do not expedite orders, but if you have a specific request for an event or a deadline, contact us to discuss logistics.
  3. Can I order custom cushions?
    • Our cushions are sized to fit our furniture precisely. Custom cushions are available to designers and for contract sales. If you would like to make a cushion of a different shape or design, we'll gladly provide a quote for your project. You may also place a special order for any of our cushions in another fabric. Special order and COM fabric orders are subject to approval by Country Casual Teak.
  4. What is the difference between piped cushions and quick dry cushions?
    • Piping is an aesthetic choice that lends a stylish, tailored look to outdoor pillows and cushions used on dining seats, lounge seating and chaises. Some items are also available with single seam construction, where seams are joined with simple stitching and no piping.     • Our premium quick dry cushions feature porous, reticulated foam, which allows water to pass through more quickly. The foam core of the cushion is sandwiched between two layers of lofty polyester wrap, which provide extra comfort and even out edges without retaining water. We designed our quick dry cushions with a mesh fabric panel on the underside to enhance drainage and encourage air drying.
  5. Can I order a different color canopy for an umbrella?
    • Yes, you may special order an umbrella canopy from an outdoor acrylic fabric palette or supply your own material (COM). Special order and COM fabric orders are subject to approval by Country Casual Teak. Custom orders must be paid in full when the order is placed and cannot be cancelled or returned.   1. What is a Trade account?
    • Our Design and Trade Program is for design professionals who have project-based work for a residential or commercial client. These include interior designers, landscape architects, landscape designers, garden designers, architects and specifiers. Trade members receive a special catalog, get one-on-one project support and get trade pricing, in addition to other customer services.     • Our Contract Sales Program is for hospitality, healthcare, gardens, museums and public sector/government clients looking for site furnishings. Discover the benefits of membership and apply for our contract program.
  3. Do you offer discounts for trade and contract clients?
    • We offer trade pricing to hospitality, healthcare, gardens, museums and public sector/government clients. Our Contract Sales Program is for commercial and educational clients. Additional discounts may apply based on order value.

 

Discounts

 

  1. Do you offer discounts or sales?
    • We do not offer sales or promotions. We periodically offer discontinued items at a discounted price in our outlet.
  2. How do I purchase or redeem a gift certificate?
    • You may purchase a gift certificate for any occasion and in any amount by phone. Gift certificates are shipped via first class mail (unless you request another shipping method) and will arrive in an elegant package with our current catalog. Gift certificates do not expire. At this time, gift certificates may be redeemed only by telephone or in person at our showroom.

  1. How do I create an account?
    • New clients may register for an account by clicking the “Sign In” button at the top of any Country Casual Teak page, then "Create an Account."

 

Shipping and Assembly

 

  1. Where does Country Casual Teak ship?
    • We ship all over the world. However, our website only allows for orders shipping within the United States or to Canada. For Canadian orders, customers are responsible for brokerage and all associated taxes, duties, and fees. For other destinations, please call our Furniture Specialists at 800-289-8325 for a quote on international shipping.
  2. Will my furniture arrive assembled?
    • Furniture can be delivered flat-packed or assembled. You may select your preference during the checkout process. Please note that not all of our pieces are eligible for assembly. Our furniture is easy to assemble and most pieces can be done in less than one hour. See Shipping & Delivery for more information.
  3. Will my order come via FedEx or UPS?
    • White glove orders are delivered by Country Casual Teak and FedEx. See Shipping & Delivery for more information.
  4. From where is my furniture being shipped?
    • Our distribution facility and showroom are in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

 

Teak Care and Maintenance

 

  1. What is teak?
    • Teak is a durable hardwood that performs beautifully in any climate, and its high oil and rubber content make it virtually immune to rot. Teak furnishings last for decades through bright sun, rain, snow, and a wide range of seasonal temperatures without the need for paint or preservatives. See the Benefits of Teak Wood.
  2. Can I use teak furniture indoors?
    • Yes, our furniture can be used indoors or outdoors. Teak is an excellent choice for use in showers, bathrooms, sunrooms, kitchens and entryways.
  3. How do I care for my teak?
    • Teak requires no preservatives or finishes. This hardwood naturally weathers to silvery gray when left outdoors and untreated. Over several years, the gray will intensify to a silvery patina.   4. What should I do when I receive my flat-packed teak furniture?
    • Review the packing slip, inspect the boxes, and note any damage prior to signing the delivery slip. Notify us of damage as soon as possible.
    • Before you begin assembly, read the provided instructions.
    • Once assembled, wipe the furniture off with a damp cloth to remove any fine teak particles that may adhere to clothing. Our furniture is hand sanded and wiped clean, but some particles may remain.
  5. Do I need to apply teak care products myself or does Country Casual Teak provide this service?
    • If our furniture finishing service is available for the items you select, the option will appear on the ordering page. Select your finish and we will apply it before your furniture ships. Finishes are not permanent and retreatment will be required over time.
  6. What if I want to paint or stain my teak furniture?
    • Paint does not adhere well to teak because of its high oil content, and the process may scar the wood. If you decide to use paint or another finish, request teak samples from us to test your desired application.
  7. If I use a teak sealer once, can I wash it off later?
    • Remove teak sealer using our one-step Teak Cleaner, or our extra strength Two-Part Cleaner, or simply let it wear off. Cleaned teak will have a light blond color until it grays naturally.
  8. Can I pressure wash my teak?
    • We discourage pressure or power washing teak. High-pressure washing may strip away some of the wood’s natural protective oils and can cause it to shred, develop surface pits and ultimately age prematurely.
  9. Can I use oil to care for my teak furniture?
    • We discourage oiling teak. When used outdoors, oiled teak may show accelerated microscopic growth in the grain of the wood, which may blacken the wood. Read about caring for teak.
  10. How long can I expect my teak furniture to last?
    • Teak is exceptionally strong and durable and will wear beautifully for decades through sun, rain, snow and temperature swings without the use of preservatives. Many English teak park benches are still in regular use after 70 years.
  11. What type of warranty do I receive with my purchase?
    • Your satisfaction is our priority. We guarantee to the original purchaser that our furniture and all its parts and components are free of material and workmanship defects for three years from the date of purchase; brass plaques, fabric, and furniture covers, one year. This limited warranty does not apply to damage resulting from improper assembly, alteration, abuse, accident, misuse, tampering, normal wear, or weather related damage.
